Reflexão - Reunião Malta
A segunda atividade transnacional do projeto "The 5 "R"s Handicrafts: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink and Recreate", número do projeto: KA210-ADU-E4D249FE decorreu entre os dias 25 e 28 de setembro de 2023 em Malta. Este encontro contou com seis participantes, três professores e três alunos, de todos os países que fazem parte deste consórcio, Portugal, Turquia, Espanha e por último, mas não menos importante, Malta. Esta semana contou com vários desafios e visitas que nos permitiram refletir sobre o que é "Reutilizar e Recylce". Estas reflexões decorreram quer através de brainstorming, quer através das diferentes apresentações feitas pelos parceiros. Esta semana incluiu atividades como observar instalações de reciclagem, ir a oficinas de arte onde foram criados artesanatos de produtos locais e materiais residuais. Esta semana também nos deu a oportunidade de ter uma visita guiada à capital de Malta, bem como conhecer a sua ilha irmã, Gozo. Começando com a primeira atividade realizada, o dia começou com uma reunião entre todos os participantes do consórcio nas instalações da Future Focus. Este encontro contou com a intervenção de todos os países onde cada participante, para além de se apresentar e dar a conhecer, apresentou um PowerPoint com todas as atividades que o país parceiro realizou até hoje. Assim, a primeira manhã, 25 de setembro de 2023, contou com apresentações que envolveram métodos de pergunta-resposta e discussão sobre o que cada parceiro fez. Após estas atividades, o parceiro maltês agendou uma atividade que nos permitiu fazer uma visita guiada à capital de Valeta e compreender verdadeiramente a história de Malta. No dia 26 de setembro de 2023, segundo dia desta semana de trabalho, visitamos a "Green Skips Service Ltd", um centro de reciclagem cuja empresa é de propriedade familiar e privada. Iniciou a sua atividade em outubro de 1992 e foi capaz de oferecer aos produtores de resíduos industriais, hoteleiros e comerciais serviços alternativos, mais modernos e económicos de gestão de resíduos. A empresa tem o seu próprio complexo de 8.000 m² em Maghtab, incorporando o edifício administrativo, oficina, lojas, instalações de armazenamento e reembalagem de resíduos perigosos, MRF para a triagem e reciclagem de resíduos de embalagens limpas e garagens de manutenção. A Green Skip opera ainda 14 viaturas para os vários serviços de gestão de resíduos da sua gama. Esta visita permitiu-nos refletir sobre a importância da reciclagem e principalmente sobre todo o processo envolvido quando deitamos embalagens no lixo. Após esta visita, assistimos a um vídeo promocional da organização, bem como a um brainstorming sobre o que poderíamos fazer individual e corporativamente pelo meio ambiente. No dia 27 de setembro de 2023, visitamos a Craft Village onde tivemos uma ideia perfeita de como os malteses conseguem reutilizar materiais e transformá-los em arte! Além disso, vimos como a arte é importante para a cultura deste país e como eles conseguem transmitir sua história através da arte. Esta visita foi super enriquecedora e permitiu-nos perceber como podemos reutilizar materiais transformando-os em arte! Com a semana quase a terminar, no dia 28 de setembro foi dia de visitar a Ilha de Gozo onde mais uma vez tivemos a oportunidade de conhecer um pouco mais da história do país e até visitar mais locais onde o artesanato é rei. Por fim, terminámos o dia com uma reflexão conjunta sobre todas as histórias e experiências vividas e terminámos com a vontade de continuar e regressar sempre a Malta. No final desta conversa, recebemos os certificados e foi um momento de alegria partilhado por todos. Mais uma vez, foi um dia incrível onde a possibilidade de aprender mais sobre a história do país e sua arte fizeram parte da agenda. Infelizmente, no dia 29 de setembro, chegou o dia de todos os parceiros voltarem para casa, então despedidas foram ditas e cada um seguiu para o seu país. Esta semana levamos a amizade, todos os momentos partilhados, atividades e lições que nos permitem hoje perceber mais sobre o que é a Reciclagem e a utilização destes materiais para criar arte.

Reflection on the second activity in Malta
The second transnational activity of the project "The 5 "R"s Handicrafts: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink and Recreate", project number: KA210-ADU-E4D249FE took place between the 25th and 28th of September 2023 in Malta. This meeting had six participants, three teachers and three students, from all the countries that are part of this consortium, Portugal, Turkey, Spain and last, but not least, Malta. This week featured several challenges and visits that allowed us to reflect on what "Reuse and Recylce" is. These reflections took place either through brainstorming or through the different presentations made by the partners. This week included activities such as observing recycling facilities, going to art workshops where handicrafts from local products and waste materials were created. This week also gave us the opportunity to have a guided tour of the capital city of Malta as well as get to know its sister island, Gozo. Starting with the first activity carried out, the day began with a meeting between all consortium participants at Future Focus' facilities. This meeting included the intervention of all countries where each participant, in addition to introducing themselves and making themselves known, presented a PowerPoint with all the activities that the partner country had carried out until today. Thus, the first morning, September 25, 2023, featured presentations that involved question-answer and discussion methods about what each partner did. After these activities, the Maltese partner scheduled an activity that allowed us to take a guided tour of the capital of Valletta and truly understand the history of Malta. On September 26, 2023, the second day of this working week, we visited "Green Skips Service Ltd", a recycling center whose company is family owned and privately owned. It began operating in October 1992 and was able to offer industrial, hotel and commercial waste producers alternative, more modern and economical waste management services. The company has its own 8,000 m² complex in Maghtab, incorporating the administrative building, workshop, stores, hazardous waste storage and repackaging facilities, MRF for the sorting and recycling of clean packaging waste and maintenance garages. Green Skip also operates 14 vehicles for the various waste management services in its range. This visit allowed us to reflect on the importance of recycling and especially the entire process involved when we throw packaging in the trash. After this visit, we watched a promotional video from the organization as well as brainstorming about what we could do both individually and corporately for the environment. On September 27, 2023, we visited the Craft Village where we had a perfect idea of how the Maltese manage to reuse materials and transform them into art! Furthermore, we saw how important art is to the culture of this country and how they manage to pass on their history through art. This visit was super enriching and allowed us to understand how we can reuse materials transforming them into art! With the week almost over, on September 28th it was a day to visit the Island of Gozo where once again we had the chance to learn a little more about the country's history and even visit more places where handicrafts are king. Finally, we ended the day with a joint reflection on all the stories and experiences lived and we ended with the desire to continue and always return to Malta. At the end of this conversation, we received the certificates and it was a moment of joy shared by everyone. Once again, it was an incredible day where the possibility of learning more about the country's history and its art were part of the agenda. Unfortunately, on September 29th, the day arrived for all partners to return home, so goodbyes were said and each one headed to their country. This week we take friendship, all the shared moments, activities and lessons that allow us today to understand more about what Recycling is and the use of these materials to create art.
